The Emdom/MM 308 IAP (Immediate Access Pouch) is a design collaboration between Emdom USA and MM from www.militarymorons.com. The 308 IAP is designed as a low profile, open top, immediate access, standard capacity 20 round .308/7.62x51mm NATO magazine (FAL, M1A/M14, SR25, M110, Magpul PMAG 20LR) pouch. The 308 IAP can be mounted to any MOLLE/PALS platform or belt up to 2.75" wide. Unique MOLLE/PALS mounting system allows the 308 IAP to be mounted at different height levels on a belt platform. The 308 IAP allows unobstructed extraction of magazines without any flaps or bungee getting in the way. It also facilitates quick one handed insertion of magazines.

Note if the fit of your magazine seems too tight, it is recommended to leave the magazine in the pouch overnight prior to using.

KEY FEATURES & DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

Mounting:
MOLLE/PALS compatible and can be mounted on webbing or belts up to 2.75" wide via two included short MALICE clips or two included long MALICE clips.

Height options:
The 308 IAP features a unique system of five rows of MOLLE/PALS composed of 0.875" webbing. When utilizing the included pair of short MALICE clips, the 308 IAP can be mounted at three different levels on a MOLLE/PALS platform or four levels on a 2" wide belt. The mounting platform is stiffened with a sheet of HDPE plastic which provides the stability necessary for mounting the 308 IAP at different heights.

Low profile:
Unique design features inherently result in a simple and low profile magazine pouch. The IAP features passive retention, thus eliminating the need for excess flaps, Velcro, or bungee. The only external material is the elastic retention band.

Passive retention:
The 308 IAP features three levels of passive retention. These three features working together allow immediate extraction of a magazine while providing secure retention of a fully loaded magazine under most conditions:
1. A thin layer of foam which is sandwiched between the HDPE stiffening sheet and the interior lining. When a magazine is inserted, the foam is compressed and pushes back on the magazine, thus creating tension.
2.1.5" wide elastic band wrapped around the exterior body of the 308 IAP provides the main elastic retention.
3. Friction on the magazine is created by the interior of the back panel being lined with hypalon.

Access:
The height of the pouch body is 4" which exposes slightly less than half the length of a standard capacity 20 round .308/7.62x51mm NATO magazine body yet still retains it securely. This height is a necessary compromise due to the weight of 20 round .308/7.62x51mm NATO magazines.

One handed insertion:
To prevent the pouch opening from collapsing when empty, the 308 IAP features a HDPE plastic ring/insert sewn into the opening which keeps the top of the pouch open, allowing quick and easy one handed insertion of a magazine.

This is good pouch for anyone running a sniper weapon with a .308 magazine that holds more than 10 rounds. The retention is positive and while crawling into a position or hide the magazines wont disappear on you. The molle strips included give the end user a variety of options for mounting the pouch to a LBV or belt.
