Mounting:
MOLLE/PALS compatible and can be mounted on webbing or belts up to 2.75" wide via two included short MALICE clips. PALS/MOLLE mounting grid features 0.875" webbing for easier weaving of MALICE clips.
Consolidate ammo:
Maximize available PALS real estate by replacing four or six single pistol magazine pouches with one. The 6o4 holds either six single stack .45 magazines or four double stack magazines (as well as similarly sized magazines of various calibers) in one pouch. The 6o4 occupies 2 rows x 2 columns of PALS webbing or 4" of belt space as opposed to single magazine pouches which occupy 2 rows x 4 – 6 columns or 6" – 9" of belt space.
Passive Retention:
In each compartment an internal elastic band separates magazines and securely retains remaining magazine(s) when outer most magazine is extracted. Internal elastic band is protected with a sewn on nylon cover to prevent wear from normal use. External elastic bands provide retention for outer most magazines as well as inner magazines.
Adjustable/detachable cover flaps:
Can be adjusted for height to accommodate taller or shorter items while maintaining full hook and loop Velcro contact. Corners of the cover flaps have been tapered to prevent snagging and allow quick and easy stowing when unobstructed access is needed (read below for details). A bartack strengthened pull tab allows fast and positive access to magazines with a single gloved hand. Cover flaps can be removed completely if not needed.
Unobstructed Access (See detailed photos below):
To keep the cover flaps from interfering with access to magazines: there is a piece of loop Velcro on the interior of each cover flap to keep the flaps in place when folded out of the way. Alternatively flaps can be folded backwards and tucked into rear PALS webbing, or folded forwards and tucked into interior cover flap retention straps.
Feature Packed Design:
Squared bottom design gives the 6o4 shape and maintains the openings of both compartments. The pouch stays upright and does not sag even when empty. To maximize available PALS real estate; there is no protruding binding tape around the edges of the pouch, thus reducing overlapping and/or deformity of pouches when mounted side by side. Drainage grommet at the very bottom of each compartment allows drainage of water, sand, and other unwanted debris.
Minimal bulk and weight:
Cover flap and mounting platform are each constructed of a single layer of material. PALS/MOLLE mounting grid composed of 0.875" wide webbing instead of the traditional 1" wide.
